Chery Officially Launches J6 SUV At GJAW 2024, Prices Start At IDR 400 Million

PT Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI) officially launched its first off-electric SUV, J6 at the 2024 Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) event.

The models that were introduced at the GIIAS 2024 event last July were present in two variants, namely All-Wheel Drive (AWD) and Rear Wheel Drive (RED) or iWD, and have been produced locally or Completely Knocked Down (CKD). locally in Indonesia.

"We are very pleased to introduce our new Chery J6 product in Indonesia, the first off-road electric car," said Assistant President of PT CSI Zeng Shuo, during his presentation, at ICE BSD, Tangerang, Friday, November 22.

On the same occasion, Sales Director of PT CSI Budi Darmawan, revealed that the RWD version comes with a battery with a capacity of 65.69 kWh capable of covering a distance of 426 km, 184 ps and 220 Nm. Meanwhile, the iWD version is equipped with a 69.77 kWh battery with a distance of 418 km.

"We use Lithium Iron Phosphate and there is also an Ultra Fast Charging Battery feature that provides charging time efficiency from 30 to 80 percent, it only takes 30 minutes," said Budi.

This car is also equipped with 8 driving modes added with X driving mode which of the 8 modes can be combined, making this car more reliable in every situation and condition.

For the price, the RWD version of J6 touched Rp498 million, while the iWD version was Rp558 million. This price is outside the estimate that was disclosed where it was raised by Rp600-700 million.
