Wuling Releases Zhiguang EV For Chinese Market, Similar To Japan's Kei Car

JAKARTA - SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile released a tiny car similar to the popular Kei car in Japan, the model in question, namely Zhiguang EV, which targets the passenger market to commercial.

Quoting from the Carnewschina page, Thursday, November 21, this car designally adopted a box body with a sliding door on the back which made it look attractive.

Coming with a small 13-inch rim, this one car is equipped with a large headlights with a sharp spotlight, as well as a wuling logo on the front. On dimensions, it comes with a length of 3,685 mm, a width of 1,530 mm, a height of 1,750 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,600 mm.

Entering the cabin, Zhiguang EV comes with a very simple interior, looking at its door trim is also very common with gray colors. On the console section there is a single LCD instrument panel, and physical control for air conditioning and music settings.

In the steering circle, no physical buttons are presented, besides that, the power window button also has a handbrake on the center console. The second row also looks very simple, where for the second seat there is no head back, and can be folded.

In more detail, Wuling Zhiguang EV is equipped with a 17.6 kWh LFP battery pack from the manufacturer of Gotion, and can generate 40 hp of power, with a maximum speed of 100 km/hour.

The price has not been announced, but it is expected to be priced slightly more expensive than the smaller Hongguang Mini EV, an estimated price of 50,000 yuan or around Rp110 million and will adopt battery replacement technology from CATL.
