Awaited, PT TAM Finally Officially Launches All-New Hilux Rangga In Indonesia

JAKARTA - PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) inaugurated the launch of the All-New Hilux Rangga for the Indonesian market after being exhibited several times in several events over the past year.

"Today is an important history for us to launch the All-New Hilux Rangga, a wider mobility and contribute to the welfare of all levels of society," said PT TAM President Director Hiroyuki Ueda in his remarks at the launch in Kemayoran, Tuesday, October 15.

There are three aspects of mobility that can be supported, namely Business, Public Service, and Lifestyle. An approach that combines functionality for these various needs is believed to be acceptable to customers from all walks of life.

The placement of the engine position is in front of the cabin to improve the comfort and safety of driving. This car also has superior performance, with the ability to transport goods up to 1.2 tons. Fleet and private customers can choose a model that suits their respective needs.

In addition, the company is also working with a number of body builder and aftermarket makers to support conversion needs in the All-New Hilux Rangga as needed by customers.

"We are also working with body builder to support modifications and aftermarkets in supporting the conversion of this car," added Ueda.

Toyota Hilux Rangga has the most complete lineup for various needs. Two types of machines are available to meet the needs of customers, from diesel to gasoline.

For the gasoline variant, this commercial model has a engine measuring 139 ps and a torque of 183 Nm. Meanwhile, diesel type has 149 ps of power and a torque of 343 Nm. PT TAM provides six automatic acceleration transmissions for the diesel High variant and a manual five acceleration for diesel and gasoline.

"This car is offered with pure diesel and gasoline engines as well as six acceleration transmissions at the highest diesel and five manual accelerations for diesel and gasoline," explained Hilux Regional Chief Engineer Rangga Juracart Jongusuk.

All-New Hilux Rangga is available in ten variants with four of them from gasoline type and six others are diesel. The gasoline variant is priced from Rp. 188.7 million to Rp. 215.7 million and diesel from Rp. 244.7 million to Rp. 304.5 million. All prices include On The Road DKI Jakarta.
