This Is The Form Of Kia Carens EV, Ready To Fight BYD M6

JAKARTA - A well-known automotive brand from South Korea, Kia intends to expand the ranks of its electric vehicles in the future. In fact, this manufacturer intends to present the EV version of Carens in the future.

This is evidenced by a camerashot of a spy showing the MPV is being tested on Indian roads. Carens EV has a number of differences when compared to its ICE version.

Launching from Autocar India, Tuesday, September 24, Carens EV retains several elements that are the same as the combustion engine version. However, a change in style is displayed with a closed grip similar to EV9.

Then, the front and rear bumpers on the Carens EV are also revised and the rim design resembles other Kia lines, such as EV3 and EV5.

Because this car is powered by electric motors and batteries, this environmentally friendly MPV does not have exhaust pipes and different suspension arrangements from its ICE version.

It was reported that Carens EV will share a powertrain with the EV version of Creta. This also strengthens the potential for this MPV to be built on the same platform as the compact SUV from Hyundai.

Thus, the Carens EV will be equipped with a 45 kWh battery pack that will power the electric motor used in the latest Kona Electric which is sold in the global market. The electric engine will be installed up front.

This will be the first electric-powered MPV to be presented by Kia and is expected to rival BYD eMax 7 or called M6 in several markets. It is also mentioned that Carens EV will mark its global debut in the first half of next year.

Apart from Carens EV, Kia plans to introduce a number of the latest products including Syros which are scheduled to launch in early 2025.
