Philippine Electric Car Market Is Increasingly Lively, Lotus Emeya Debuts With Mutakhir Technology

JAKARTA - The electric car market in the Philippines is increasingly dynamic with the latest presence from Lotus Emeya, which was launched in conjunction with the opening of a new dealer in the Bonifacio Global City area.

Reporting from Top Gear PH, Thursday, September 19, Lotus Emeya comes in three variants, including the highest variant named R which is priced at 8 million pesos or around Rp. 2.2 billion, with the most expensive variant reaching 9.5 million pesos or around Rp. 2.6 billion.

The car, which first launched in China in early 2024, has a sporty and aerodynamic design that is its trademark. Striking appearance, from the attractive front plelle to the back diffuser, made him stand out among other cars.

As a grand tourer, Emeya is designed to provide comfort and functionality, especially for long trips. This car is equipped with a seat with five massage modes using Wyron Truecycle, an environmentally friendly material made from recycled fiber from the fashion industry.

Not only that, Emeya also has a door with sensors that can detect the surrounding area, providing extra comfort for its users. On the inside, there is a 15.1-inch touch screen supported by Unreal Engine gaming technology for a quick response, as well as a 55-inch head-up display.

The car also offers three driving modes 'Range, Tour, and Sport' that allow drivers to adjust their driving style as needed.

In terms of performance, Lotus Emeya is able to produce up to 905 hp of energy, allowing acceleration from 0-100 km/hour in just 2.8 seconds.

Regarding the distance, this electric car is claimed to be able to cover up to 610 km in one charge. Fast charging from 10-80 percent only takes 14 minutes.
