Launching Next September In The Philippines, BYD Begins To Showcase Seagull Model

JAKARTA - The Philippines BYD Cars officially introduced its newest model which will launch in September for the local market, the new model, the Seagull hatchback, which was exhibited at the BYD Tech Tour event.

Quoting from the Top Gear PH page, Saturday, August 31, there were no more details regarding the specifications, but referring to the veri already in China, this five-door hatchback has a dimensions of 3,780 mm, a width of 1,715 mm, and a height of 1,540 mm.

By design, BYD Seagull has a sleek body with a smooth curve that makes him have a strong sporty impression. Entering the cabin, the interior of this electric car is designed to provide space and comfort, with a smart cockpit system embedded and the center screen can rotate like other BYD models.

"We are excited to give the public a little picture of what we believe will redefine affordable, fun and practical electric mobility in this country," said Philippine BYD Cars Managing Director Bob Palanca.

Back to specifications in China, this tiny car is equipped with a single electric motor that produces 74 hp and 135 Nm of torque. It is equipped with a battery capacity of 30.08 kWh with a distance of 305 km in one charge, and also a battery of 38.88 kWh for a distance of 405 km.

Both versions in China are equipped with Blade batteries from BYD, which are claimed to increase security, packaging, performance, and life.

"For those who are looking for their first electric vehicle, BYD Seagull is the ideal entrance to the lifestyle of electric mobility," he added.
