BMW Will Introduce Wheelbase Long Version Of The Gran Coupe Series-2 In China, Launching Early Next Year

JAKARTA - Gran Coupe's latest BMW Series-2 will land on the Chinese market this fall. Prior to its launch, complete information from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) had been leaked to the public.

Reporting from the BMW Blog, Tuesday, August 13, this car features a more sporting package M Performance. Not only that, the sedan has a long wheelbase that is suitable for consumers of bamboo curtain countries.

Meanwhile, the length of this car reached 4,660 mm, a width of 1,801 mm, a height of up to 1,449 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,780 mm.

The latest BMW Series-2 Gran Coupe is equipped with a 19-inch rim wrapped with 235/40 tires up front and 18-inch rims that have 225/45 tires on the back.

The car has a number of optional equipment, such as air-intake on the grip, additional optional risk, front camera, and mirror camera selection on the outside.

BMW gave him a engine with a code B48A20H 2.0 liter which has an impressive power of up to 246 kW or 329 dk. It is more powerful than the latest Series-1 variant of M135 which produces 312 dk available in Europe.

Having a wheelbase longer than its standard, BMW gave him the name M235L. Furthermore, the manufacturer also gave him four exhausts following M135, X1 M35i, X2 M35i, and X3 M50 models.

The latest BMW Series-2 Gran Coupe will make its global debut and will be produced starting November which will then be followed by a Chinese version in January next year. The manufacturer is still silent about its variant offering, but most likely the Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) version will not be introduced.

The China version of the BMW Seri-2 Gran Coupe will be produced at the BMW Brilliance Automotive factory, namely in Dadong District, Shenyang.
