Carrying Dare Design, Fifth Generation Hyundai Santa Fe Wins This Award

JAKARTA - The presence of the latest generation of Hyundai Santa Fe has caused a variety of significant responses, one of which is in terms of design. With a newer form, the SUV received a prestigious award.

This fifth-generation Santa Fe won the 2024 Red Dot Award at Product Design in the Cars and Motorcycles category.

This recognition is a testament to the extraordinary dedication shown by our visionary designer team, which poured their unshakable passion and commitment into the project, along with our collaborative engineers at the center of R&D, Hyundai wrote on its official website, Tuesday, April 30.

Having a design proportion similar to Land Rover and Jeep 4x4, the SUV has a tough and stiff impression. Hyundai also combined a strong Ioniq 5 approach and modern language from Ioniq 6.

The front is also updated with the goal being made smaller and elongated, as well as connecting with the latest headlights with the "H" pattern as a symbol that this is a car from Hyundai.

The side has a high level of stiffness compared to the previous generation with 21-inch rims featuring Hyundai's 'H logo tilted. The back also underwent massive changes to its stiffness with a backlight placed on the near-bemper which also features the letter "H".

Santa Fe cabin space is also updated by offering three lines of relief which makes this car reliable for carrying lots of goods. The cabinet is also equipped with the latest technology by offering Panoramic Curved Display and wireless double charging. The screen display has been connected to a 12.3-inch digital cluster, an infotainment system, which increases visibility when driving the car.

In the global market, this SUV comes in the choice of pure gasoline and Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) engines. The first is 1.6 liters of hybrid gasoline turbo with two or four wheels that can pump up 209 dk of power and 367 Nm of torque. The second is Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) which is available in four wheels alone, producing up to 246 dk of power and 367 Nm of torque.

Indonesia will also welcome the latest Hyundai Santa Fe in the country's automotive industry. This is evidenced by the catch of a spy camera that the SUV is seen passing by on Indonesian roads with camouflage stickers.
