BYD Plans To Bring Several Latest Models To The Indonesian Market

JAKARTA - The automotive giant from China, namely Build Your Dreams (BYD), plans to bring in several more car models to enliven the Indonesian automotive market.

As is known, BYD only brought three electric models, namely Dolphin, Atto 3 and the Seal sedan, and when the model opened the order at the IIMS 2024 event.

PT BYD Motor Indonesia's Head of Marketing & Communication Luther Panjaitan, said the three models launched (Dolphin, Atto 3 and Seal) were still in the early stages, and would try to bring the best model.

"The three models are just the beginning, and we continue to try to bring the best models on global basis," he told the media crew, some time ago.

Furthermore, he said, the three models that have been launched in Indonesia seem to have almost completed important segments in the country, however, there are certain segments that we are targeting now.

"This year we hope to bring some new models," he added.

However, he did not elaborate in more detail regarding the new model that will be present in Indonesia, when asked if he would bring the Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) model he did not confirm.

"This year we focus on electric cars," he explained.

As additional information, BYD has revealed the price of three electric cars at the IIMS 2024 event, for Dolphin it is priced at IDR 425 million, Atto 3 IDR 515 million, and the Seal sedan starts at IDR 629 million.

On the same occasion, BYD also brought a new model, namely Denza 09, based on information from the President Director of PT BYD Motor Indonesia Eagle Zhao, the presence of Denza D9 was only introduced and became clear evidence that the company was serious about working on the Indonesian market.

Is the latest model referred to by Denza 09? Of course it is worth waiting for.
