NTB - A number of efforts were made in order to increase the use of environmentally friendly vehicles. One of them is through the Mandalika Electric Vehicle (EV) II which is quite much discussed.
PT PLN (Persero) West Nusa Tenggara Regional Main Unit (UIW) hopes that this event will be able to increase public awareness of the use of sustainable energy and stimulate interest in environmentally friendly vehicles.
"We hope that the Mandalika EV Experience Chapter II event is one of the steps in introducing electric vehicles (EVs) and environmentally friendly supporting facilities to the community," said General Manager of PT PLN (Persero) UIW NTB, Sudjarwo as quoted by ANTARA on Sunday, April 28.
In addition, he said that this event was part of PLN's commitment to realizing the vision of Net Zero Emission (NZE) in 2050 in NTB.
"PLN NTB Regional Main Unit is committed to supporting the use of clean energy. We continue to strengthen the infrastructure supporting the electric vehicle ecosystem in NTB, by providing Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU) at several travel points," he said.
Currently, he explained, there are 10 SPKLUs in several strategic locations, including the NTB Governor's Office, Santika Hotel, Lombok Epicentrum Mall, and in the Mandalika Area.
With the success of the Mandalika EV Experience Chapter II, PLN plans to expand and develop electric vehicle exhibitions at upcoming events as part of efforts to continue promoting environmentally friendly vehicles in NTB.
"To all NTB people, let's switch to electric vehicles, both electric motorbikes and electric cars. We have prepared all infrastructure. There are SPKLU and SPLU which can be accessed through the PLN Mobile application. Electric vehicles, easier and more environmentally friendly," said Sudjarwo.
Local government support for the initiative to use electric cars in NTB is also seen through infrastructure development and regulatory support from the government.
