Volkswagen New GTX ID3 Debut Global, Display Sporty With Extortion Power

JAKARTA - Volkswagen is developing a line of GTX models with a touch of sporty, and the ID.3 GTX is one of the two models first introduced in the world.

The new ID.3 GTX features a unique exterior design, including the characteristics of the headlights and back, details of the sporty design in the interior, as well as a powerful driving performance. This is the most sporting model of a fully electric ID family.

"With the distribution of responsive and superior power, the new ID.3 GTX Performance for me is an electric competitor to our compact sporty icon, Golf GTI Clubsport04," said Kai Gr\unitz, a member of the Volkswagen Brand Management Board in charge of Development., as quoted from the official statement on Thursday, March 14.

GTX's ID.3 is Volkswagen's first breakthrough in an all-electric hot hatch segment, facing a wheel drive trend all introduced by the ID4 and ID5 GTX, focusing on rear wheels driving.

There are two available power options; the standard model produces 286 hp, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 6 seconds. Meanwhile, the Performance variant, with the same motor technology but increased to 326 hp, shortened the time to 5.6 seconds.

"With the ID.3 GTX, Volkswagen is moving a compact GT legacy that is almost 50 years old into the world of electric mobility," he added.

In more detail, this car will be equipped with a 20-inch Skagen rim as a standard, adding to the touch of sporty. The design of premium sports seat (from cloth and imitation skin) will also be standard, strengthening the sporty character of the most powerful ID.3 model.

To date, there has been no information about the price of the new Volkswagen ID.3, but it is expected to be in the range of more than 50,000 euros or around Rp853 million.
