Ford Brings Rangers And Everest To The Thai Market, Provides A V6 Diesel Engine Variant

JAKARTA - Ford is again expanding its vehicle line in Southeast Asia, to be precise in Thailand by presenting the latest generation Ranger and Everest. Another interesting thing, the two models got a powerful variant of the V6 turbodiesel engine.

Of course, this is encouraging news for Ford vehicle lovers who are quite a lot in the land of white elephants. Previously, this variant was only available in a number of markets such as Australia.

Reporting from Top Gear Philippines, Monday, March 11, this is the first time Ford cars with diesel 6-cylinder engines have arrived in the Southeast Asian market. For Rangers, this machine is exclusively provided with Wildtrak type. As for Everest, in Platinum type.

Talking about its performance, the 3.0 liter V6 engine has a peak power of 250 dk and a torque of 600 Nm, making it the most powerful diesel powertrain for both models. The machine is combined with transmission of ten automatic accelerations in collaboration with four-wheel drive.

Speaking of prices, these two models are priced at high prices with the Ranger Wildtrak at 1.519 baht or around Rp665.6 million and the Everest Platinum for 2.279 million or around Rp998.5 million.

In Indonesia, RMA Indonesia, the sole agent holding the Ford brand, provides these two models with a formidable 4-cylinder bi-turbo engine.

For the Ranger Wildtrak and Everest Titanium types, share the same engine with 4-cylinder sekaris bi-turbo diesel 1,996 cc which can produce up to 210 ps of power and 500 Nm of torque. Not only that, the machine is also implanted in the Ranger Raptor with the same power and torque.

For prices in the country, the Ford Ranger Wildtrak is priced at IDR 731 million, then the Everest Titanium is worth IDR 871 million, and the Ranger Raptor is set at IDR 1.103 billion.
