Big And Practical, Kia EV9 Gets The "World Best Car For 2024" Award From 75 Female Journalists

JAKARTA - Kia EV9 has just received the "World Best Car for 2024" Best SUV category from the Women's Worldwide Car of the Year (WWCOTY) jury, as part of the event commemorating International Women's Day.

The 14th edition of the WWCOTY award this year is based on the assessment of 75 female automotive journalists from 52 countries on five different continents and the judges selected Kia EV9 as the winner of 63 candidate models.

The jury considered that this large-body SUV has a high level of usability and has good ability to meet various consumer needs globally.

Each finalist has enough achievements to win trophies. However, Kia EV9 excels from its competitors because it is a vehicle that is able to meet consumer needs anywhere," said Marta Garcia, Executive President of WWCOTY, on the wwwcoty.net page, Monday, March 11.

The jury also praised EV9 as the latest breakthrough for the electric vehicle market with high range power, easy use, and able to attract public attention thanks to futuristic design.

EV9 has a length of up to 5 meters, but this vehicle excels in terms of aerodynamics, thus contributing to its outstanding performance. In addition, this car offers both two-way charging capability and ultra-fast charging capabilities.

This is the second WWCOTY award for Kia after the manufacturer won it last year with the Niro model in the same category.

It is known that Kia EV 9 was also sold in Indonesia after making his debut at the 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) last August which was present with a single variant, EV9 GT-Line.

The top variant in EV9 ranks in the global market has a range of up to 495 km in one charge and is equipped with electric motors driving all wheels (AWD) with a power of up to 372 dk and 700 Nm torque.
