In Addition To The Standard Version, The Development Of The Latest Mercedes CLA Concept Will Be Present From The AMG Division

JAKARTA - The Concept CLA Class was launched in September last year with advanced design and technology. The model is referred to as the first step from Mercedes-Benz to transition into electrification.

Some time ago, it was reported that the production version of this car was being tested using a camouflage sticker in the Scandinavian region. In addition to preparing the standard version, the manufacturer intends to present it as a high-performance model developed by the AMG sub-brand.

Reporting from Autocar, Sunday, January 21, a prototype that is likely AMG's latest version of the CLA caught on camera is being tested in North Sweden with several changes compared to the standard version.

The braking system hidden behind AMG's sports rim has been upgraded. Then, the car was presented with a large rear wing with a duck tail style that hinted at an increase in downforce.

Just like the concept and standard versions, the CLA developed by AMG will carry the basis of the advanced Mercedes Modular Architecture (MMA). This platform is claimed to fit perfectly electric driving cars and internal combustion engines (ICE).

If the standard version has a single electric motor that produces 235 dk of power, then the AMG version is expected to be planted with a double electric motor that can produce up to 493 dk of power.

As a comparison, the Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 S 4 Matic + currently uses a 4-cylinder gasoline engine with an M139 turbocharged that can produce up to 421 dk of power and a 500 Nm torque.

The machine is integrated with a four-wheel drive developed by a German manufacturer, namely 4 Matic+. This driving system is combined with a dual-clutch transmission (DCT) eight acceleration of the 8G AMG Speedshift.

With a wild engine and impressive driving, this car is capable of running from 0 to 100 km/h within 4.1 seconds and produces the highest speed of up to 270 km/hour.

For the EV version of AMG CLA, the manufacturer will present different batteries from its standard versions that use Lithium-Iron Phosphate (LFP) and Lithium-Nickel-Manganese-Kobalt (NMC).

If the standard version of the latest CLA is claimed to run up to 750 km in one charge, then the distance to AMG type will decrease due to its performance improvement.
