JAKARTA - Mercedes-Benz officially launched the latest crossover of GLA 200 in Malaysia or the facelift version.

Quoting Paultan, Monday, January 22, this one car is priced at 258,888 ringgit or around Rp857 million without insurance, and this facelift model is assembled locally in Pekan, Pahang.

Various changes were presented to this one car, starting from its exterior which includes a new front grip while the front bumper gets a 'visual underride shield' which is redesigned with a silver trim on the front apron.

Meanwhile, on the back, the bumper gets a diffuser. As well as from the lighting, there are LED High Performance headlights with Adaptive Highbeam Assist, and LED rearlight as standard.

Entering the interior, the infotainment screen and the instrument cluster are displayed through a double screen of 10.25 inches, and a new steering wheel design that combines touch surface controls instead of conventional buttons. To add comfort, the car seat is made of Artico synthetic skin, and the front seat gets electric tuning with memory function.

The variety of features is also embedded, as is the latest generation MBUX interface feature, with the wireless support of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the hardware connection now includes five USB-C ports that are on, plus charging wireless devices and cabins also get about 64 colors of lighting.

For the facelift assistance system, it is equipped with a parking package with a reversing camera, Active Parking Assist, Blind Spot Assist, Exit Warning Assist and Active Brake Assist, while also including Keyless Go and Hands-free Access.

Regarding the heartburn, the GLA 200 variant is still powered by a four-cylinder 1.3 liter turbocharged gasoline engine which produces 163 hp of power at 5,500 rpm and 250 Nm from 2,000 rpm to 3,500 rpm. The driving is sent to the front wheel through an automatic double coupling of seven accelerations. Acceleration of 0-100 km/hour is claimed to be 8.9 seconds, with a maximum speed of 210 km/hour.

In addition to the existing exterior color series, GLA facelift 2024 added Spectral Blue metallicity to its exterior paint palette. All new Mercedes-Benz passenger vehicles in Malaysia are protected by an unlimited travel distance guarantee for four years.
