JAKARTA - Deepal, a manufacturer devoted to producing Changan's environmentally friendly cars, began expansion abroad and Thailand was chosen as the main destination.

Deepal talks cannot be underestimated, where the manufacturer has held a record in China, selling more than 100,000 units in the 14 months its launch in 2022, which was the fastest selling at the time.

Quoting from the Carnewschina page, Thursday, January 11, the brand carries two electric vehicle models at once, namely offering the L07 sedan and S07 SUV in the local market (Cina name is SL03 and S7).

L07 and S07 share the same EP1 platform, but for the Chinese market, the L07 sedan is available in BEV, EREV (range expander), and FCEV (hydrogen) models. Deepal S07 has BEV and EREV variants, but only L07 and S07 electric variants will be sold internationally

Earlier, in November 2023, Deepal revealed that Thailand would be its first overseas market. It even plans to build a factory in the country that will start operating in early 2025.

Back to the two models that Deepal carries, in specifications L07 is a sedan that has a length dimension of 4,820 mm, a width of 1,890, a height of 1,480 mm and a wheelbase distance of 2900 mm. It is equipped with R19 wheels and 150 mm ground clearance. Entering the interior, Deepal L07 has a 14.6-inch screen combined with a 10.5-inch LCD cluster instrument.

Regarding the kitchen runway, it has a single electric motor measuring 190 kW on the back, as well as a NMC ternary 66.8 kWh battery supplying its power. The range is 540 km based on calculations (NEDC). Deepal L07 is priced from 1,329,000 baht or around Rp589 million.

In addition, the Deepal S07 SUV has a length dimension of 4,750 mm, a width of 1,930 mm and a height of 1,625 mm with a wheelbase of 2900 mm. In contrast to the L07 sedan which offers R20 rims and 165 mm ground clearance.

Meanwhile, the interior has 15.6 inches of screen and 14 speakers. He shares the powertrain with the L07 sedan. However, because it is an SUV, the range is only 485 km (NEDC). Questioning the price price price is priced more expensive than L07, which is 1,399,000 baht or around Rp621 million.
