MG Cyberster's Fast Car Is Confirmed To Be Listed On Indonesia This Year

JAKARTA - MG Motor Indonesia has confirmed that the Cyberster roadster will launch in Indonesia this year, but details of its presence have not been explained.

This was revealed by Arief Syarifudin, Marketing & PR Director of MG Motor Indonesia. He said that currently MG already has several line ups in Indonesia, for those with ZS EV and MG4 EV electricity, there are also ICE versions.

"My question is whether or not the Cyberster is brought in in Indonesia? I can confirm that it will launch in the country this year," he said, when met in Jakarta, Thursday, January 11.

Furthermore, he said, that is all that can be conveyed regarding Cyberster, for other models it is still being studied. But he ensured that whatever will be the attraction in Indonesia must be the company's concentration on the model.

"But whatever is the attraction in Indonesia, we must be concerned to give our best, including assembly," he added.

Cyberster has starred in a number of international automotive exhibitions last year from Guangzhou Auto Show to the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

In fact, towards the end of 2023, the British manufacturer also presents Cyberster, in the Philippines. It is estimated that the roadster will be priced under 3 million pesos or equivalent to Rp. 839.7 million.

Closer to the MG Cyberster, this car design features a distinctive coupe with a long and short engine hood on its tail, with a length of 4,535 mm, a width of 1,913 mm, a height of 1,329 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,690 mm.

In addition, this one car is available in three travel variants, namely 501 km, 580 km, and 520 km, with the support of the NMC ternary battery produced by the CATL-SAIC joint venture company.

The variant with a distance of 501 km has a power of 231 kW for rear wheel drive and 475 Nm peak torque. The 580 km variant also uses a rear wheel drive, with a power of 350 kW and a peak torque of 475 Nm.

Meanwhile, the variant with a distance of 520 km is equipped with an all-wheel drive system, producing a power of 400 kW (536 hp) and a peak torque of 725 Nm. Then for acceleration from zero to 100 km/hour it only takes 3.2 seconds.
