Geely Launches New Version Of Boyue Cool Friends Edition, The Price Is Only IDR 216 Million

JAKARTA - Chinese car manufacturer Geely launched a new version of the small Boyue Cool SUV called Friends Edition, which starts from 99,800 yuan or around Rp216 million.

Quoting Carnewschina, Thursday, January 4, the appearance of this new version still maintains the characteristics of the old model where it comes with Starburst design language or called fashionable and sporty, and is equipped with an aluminum alloy rim measuring 18 inches.

The interior layout remains or does not change with the car cabin having 5 seats with a 2+3 design and a standard 571 liter baggage capacity.

In addition, this car has a full LCD dashboard of 10.25 inches, a 13.2-inch vertical center control screen with a resolution of 1440 x 1920 pixels, and a length dimension of 4,510 mm, a width of 1,865 mm and a height of 1,650 mm and a wheelbase of 2701 mm. Friends Edition has the equivalent parameters Mazda CX-5 or Honda CR-V in segment C.

Geely Boyue Cool Friends Edition remains equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 integrated chips and Geely Galaxy OS Air operating systems, supporting functions such as GPS positioning, OTA updates, and voice recognition.

The difference is compared to the models sold today, the Friends Edition version has removed functions such as Start/Stop buttons, front side airbags, head support & hand support for second row seats and other capabilities. Driving assistance includes adaptive cruising control, automatic emergency braking, traffic congestion assistance, and lane departure warning.

However, Friends Edition is still equipped with cameras to monitor driver status and L2 level intelligent driving assistance system. The 1.12 square meter Panoramic sunset has the ability to block ultraviolet light by more than 94.6 percent, has a hot inflation rate of more than 60 percent and also has technological advantages such as rain sensors, and closes windows automatically when locking cars and remote control apps.

The powertrain also remains unchanged with a turbocharged Jinqing 1.5T Geely engine of the new generation which produces a 290 Nm torque peak, paired with a DCT of 7 speeds. The acceleration time of 0 0 100 km/hour is 7.9 seconds.

Currently, there are a total of six Boyue Cool models, including Friends Edition, which are sold at prices ranging from 99,800 - 125,800 yuan.
