Mercedes-Benz SUV EQE Will Debut In Malaysia December 6, 2023

JAKARTA - After his global debut last October, now Mercedes-Benz EQE is rumored to be debuting in Malaysia. This refers to the EV teaser uploaded on the official Mercedes-Benz MY Instagram page.

Quoted from the Paultan page, Monday, December 4, it is certain that the model, namely the EQE SUV, can be seen from the silhouettes shared. In his upload, the car debut will take place on December 6.

"Step into a brave world of exploration, feel a new wave of electric luxury soon," the post wrote.

Taking a closer look at the EQE SUV, comes with a length of 4,946 mm, a width of 1,961 mm, a height of 1,512 mm, and a wheelbase of 3,120 mm. In comparison, the larger EQS SUV has a length of 5,125 mm, a width of 1,959 mm, and a height of 1,718 mm with a wheelbase distance of 3,210 mm.

From its global debut, the EQE SUV was announced with three variants of powertrain, namely EQE350+ which is a single-engine RWD variant with 292 PS and 565 Nm power, capable of traveling 480 km to 590 km on the WLTP cycle. Next is EQE350 4 Matic, AWD with the same power of 292 PS but a larger torque at 765 Nm, with a WLTP range of 459 km to 558 km.

Exceeding the ranks of regular EQE SUVs before entering the AMG category, namely EQE500 4 Matic which produces 408 PS and 858 Nm power from AWD-configured double engines, and has the shortest battery range of 460 km to 547 km. All variants of the global debut are announced with a 90.6 kWh battery.

In terms of charging, the EQE SUV can be recharged via a standard-power AC Type 2 connection of up to 11 kW, resulting in full charging in 11 hours, or optional, up to 22 kW, which results in full charging in 4.25 hours. Meanwhile, it is also equipped with DC fast charging, supported by up to 170 kW which allows 10-80% recharging in 32 minutes, or 250 km long-range charging in 15 minutes.

This electric car is equipped with various features including Attention Assist, Active Brake Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Parking Package (with rear camera) and Speed Limit Assist as standards.

Meanwhile, additional optionals are available in the form of aid packages, such as Active Distance Assistance Assistance District, Blind Spot Assist, and Active Lane Keeping Assist, while the Driving Assist Plus Package adds Active Steering Assist, Active Lane Change Assist, Active Emergency Stop Assist.
