Suzuki To Show Swift Latest In Japan Mobility Show 2023

JAKARTA - Suzuki will be the next manufacturer to participate in the Japan Mobility Show 2023. The manufacturer with the "S" logo will bring the latest line of vehicles, one of which is Swift's latest generation.

Swift will appear in the concept version recently, and recently, Suzuki has provided a visual preview of this hatchback ahead of the big event which is scheduled to take place at the end of October.

Although the concept version will be exhibited at the end of this month, it is estimated that the production version of Swift will retain its distinctive design language. In the image uploaded on the company's official website, Tuesday, October 3, it can be seen that Swift is most recently seen as familiar with Swift's previous generation appearance. However, there are a number of changes that are quite striking.

One of the changes that can be seen in the image is that the backdoor handle is no longer placed at the top of the pillar side of C as in the previous model, but has been moved back to its original place.

Another change is the more elongated design on the back of Swift that creates an impression resembling a coup. However, Suzuki retains the characteristics of the perpendicular C pillar.

Suzuki is also heading towards an electrification car, including Swift. This can be seen from the presence of a "hybrid" badge on Swift's front fender. This indicates that this hatchback will use hybrid or millid-hybrid technology to increase fuel efficiency.

Swift is also the latest to have a smaller front grip than the previous model, with radar sensors placed at the top and cameras underneath. The engine hood also looks rounder, and the headlights undergo little design changes by Suzuki. The entire concept model reflects the spirit of "Drive&Feel" which offers a more exciting driving experience.

Suzuki maintains its hatchback model in the market, in contrast to several other brands such as Ford and VW that halted production of Fiesta and Polo due to stricter emission provisions.
