JAKARTA - The 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) has ended with many automotive manufacturers reporting positive achievements.

Suzuki is one of them. With a booth with the theme "Hybrid World", Suzuki has successfully caught the attention of more than 200,000 visitors who visited GIIAS 2023 at ICE BSD, Tangerang, by showing high-tech models. This success was followed by the achievement of SPK as many as 1,517 units of Suzuki vehicles during the 11-day exhibition.

Randy R. Murdoko, as Asst. to Dept. Head of 4W Sales of PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (PT SIS), said that Suzuki is present at GIIAS not only featuring its flagship products, but rather providing education about hybrid technology embedded in several models such as XL7 Hybrid, Grand Vitara, and All New Ertiga Hybrid.

"We also see a positive response from the public for the Suzuki hybrid vehicle, as evidenced by the total SPK of 1,517 units, 35% of which were contributed by the Suzuki hybrid variant," Randy said in his statement, Monday, August 28.

During the GIIAS 2023 event, Suzuki noted that the New XL7 Hybrid model recorded the highest sales by accounting for 36.2 percent of total sales during the grand event.

The impressive result was followed by New Carry, which contributed 21.2 percent of sales, then there was All New Ertiga which contributed 16.2 percent of the total. Thus, XL7 Hybrid has again shown its vulnerability in the LSUV market since its launch in June.

The Suzuki XL7 Hybrid also led retail sales last June by accounting for 15 percent of the total and for XL7 models including Hybrid and Non-Hybrid, an increase of 36 percent compared to the previous month.

The XL7 Hybrid is equipped with advanced Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki (SHVS) technology, including the Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) and lithium-ion batteries that help the performance of the 1,500 cc engine.

With a 4-cylinder K15B 1,500 cc engine, XL7 Hybrid is capable of generating up to 103.2 dk of power and 138 Nm of torque. The auto start-stop engine feature also helps save fuel during the trip.

The Suzuki XL7 Hybrid, which competes with the Mitsubishi Xpander Cross, is priced from IDR 283 million and is available in three interesting variants, namely Alpha, Beta, and Zeta.
