Kia Indonesia Releases Kia EV9 The Highest Variant At GIASS 2023, Priced At Nearly IDR 2 Billion

JAKARTA - PT Kredese Indo Artha (KIA), the official distributor of the Kia brand in Indonesia, presented a number of interesting vehicles at the 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS).

Not only showing off various models that are already known in Indonesia, Kia also introduced a large electric-powered SUV, namely EV9, which recently managed to steal global attention.

The model presented by Kia Indonesia is EV9 GT-Line, a variant with impressive performance. Andrew Nasuri, President Director of PT Cretaceous Indo Artha, expressed his pride in presenting this latest Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) in Indonesia, highlighting his various advantages.

"With Kia EV9 GT-Line, we also affirm the Indomobil group's commitment to supporting government programs related to electrification, especially for the Kia brand in Indonesia," Andrew said in his statement, today, Thursday, August 10.

The exterior design of this car is inspired by the philosophy of "Bold for Nature", which combines natural and material elements. The EV9 design is also considered a milestone for the design of the future electric SUV.

Overall, the design of this electric SUV has a box shape with a striking firm line. Its tough look is reinforced by the prominent triangular and wheeled sepatbor structures, all of which are harmoniously integrated with the body of the car.

EV9's front light also stole attention with its innovative feature, namely "Star Map LED daytime running lights (DRL)", which creates a variety of interesting light patterns. On the back, there is a sleek tail light that gives an elegant impression. The GT-Line S variant comes with a 21-inch rim. This car is categorized as a three-line SUV with a suitable spacious room for the family. The interior of the car is also equipped with various interesting features.

Inside the cabin, there are three screens, including a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, a 5.3-inch climate control touch screen, and a 12.3-inch navigation touchscreen that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Other interesting features in Kia EV9 include wireless charging for devices, a heating steering wheel, six USB-C ports, and a dual-zone AC system on the front and rear hanging on the roof.

To improve driver safety and safety, Kia also provides features such as Smart Cruise Control, Blind-Spot Collision Avoidance Assist (BCCA) with Near-Cross Traffic Assist (RCTA), 360-degree views through monitors, and nine airbags spread across three cabin lines.

The top variant of Kia EV9 has a range of up to 495 km in one battery charge. EV9 GT-Line is also equipped with Vehicle to Load (V2L) and Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V) features that allow cars to become like a generator, capable of supplying electrical energy for households and other necessities.

EV9 with the GT-Line variant equipped with a driving all wheels (AWD), is able to reach a peak power of up to 372 dk and a torque of 700 Nm.
