Mini JCW 1to6 Edition Available 999 Units, Model Last Appearance With Three Pedals?

Jakarta - Mini, an automotive company from England, has announced the price of its newest hot-hatch, Mini John Cooper Works (JCW) 1to6 Edition 2024. This car offers a distinctive two-door style. As reported by Motor1 on Wednesday, June 21, Mini has set a price of 46,295 US dollars or around Rp. 690 million for this edition model.

Mini also offers several attractive packages for JCW 1to6 Edition equipped with features such as panoramic moonroof, a heating front seat, HUD (Head-Up Display), and a navigation system, as well as many more. If customers want these additional packages, they need to spend an additional fee of 9,900 US dollars or around Rp148 million.

This car has an elegant look with a Midnight Black color and is equipped with an 18-inch black rim. To give customers a special impression, Mini provides a 1to6 badge with a serial number located on the dashboard.

In terms of performance, JCW 1to6 Edition has not changed. This car still uses a 2.0 liter turbocharged gasoline engine which produces 231 dk of power and 320 Nm of torque. With this engine, this car is capable of reaching speeds 0-100 km/hour within 6.3 seconds with a maximum speed of 246 km/hour.

The Mini JCW 1to6 Edition will be the final marker of the hot-hatch era for this manufacturer. Currently, Mini is preparing steps towards electrification and adopting electric engines, as well as eliminating the use of manual transmission. This JCW special edition may be the last appearance of the model with three pedals.

Mini plans to produce 999 units of JCW 1to6 in the third quarter of 2023 to be marketed globally. Of these, 150 units will be sold in the UK, while 849 units will be available on the North American market.

In addition, Mini is also developing a new model powered by electric power which is planned to be launched in 2025. The models include All New Cooper E (Electric) and Cooper SE, which will reportedly have impressive electric power and range.

Mini has revealed that the entry-level version of Cooper E can generate 181 dk of power, while the latest Cooper SE offers impressive 215 dk of power. The company will also increase its zero-emission range through the use of high-voltage lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 40.7 kWh for Cooper E and 54.2 kWh for Cooper SE.

This battery will allow electric Mini Cooper to reach a distance of between 300-400 km, which is much better than the current model which is only able to cover a distance of up to 235 km with a battery capacity of 32.6 kWh.
