JAKARTA - French automotive manufacturer Renault introduced All New Rafale, the latest SUV model with a compact design. With the launch of the All New Rafale, the SUV ranks of this brand are now more complete.

Renault CEO Fabrice Cambolive said that All New Rafale is here as the newest SUV to offer a new experience as a high-end brand.

"With the charming couple-SUV design created for intense experience, this car provides unprecedented driving pleasure with hybrid powertrains and standard setting chassis filled with the passion and knowledge of Renault engineers," Cambolive said on the official Renault page, June 18.

All New Rafale is included in the category of D-segment with concise dimension, has a length of 4,710 mm, a width of 1,860 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,740 mm. The design of the LED matrix light that blends with the medium-sized goal gives an impression similar to Renault Clio's 2024 facelift.

The All New Rafale interior is also designed for user convenience. Equipped with a 12.3-inch instrument digital cluster and a 12-inch portrait touch screen in the center of the dashboard, the car offers modern technology. The integrated Android Automotive 12 system allows compatibility with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay wireless.

As a plug-in hybrid car, All New Rafale combines 1.2 liter gasoline engines that produce 130 dk and 205 Nm with double electric motors. The main powertrain has 70 dk and 205 Nm strength, while the supporting electric motor has 34 dk power and 50 Nm torque. With this combination of power, the car can produce a total power of 200 dk through the latest E-Tech powertrain technology.

Renault also offers the top performance version with a 4x4 E-Tech powertrain that produces more power, reaching 300 dk with an all-wheel drive system.

All New Renault Rafale will be available in the global automotive market in the spring of 2024. This car will be a competitor to Toyota CH-R.

The name "Rafale" itself is taken from one of the single aircraft from the history of Renault's flight, namely the Caudron-Renault Rafale. The aircraft was able to fly at a speed of 445 km/h in 1934.
