President Jokowi Optimistic To Move To IKN August 2024 In Today's Memory, August 2, 2022

JAKARTA Memories today, three years ago, August 2, 2022, the government encouraged ministries/agencies to accelerate the development of the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) phase I. This narrative is because President Jokowi is optimistic about moving to IKN in August 2024.

Previously, Jokowi's wish to replace Jakarta as the capital city was unbearable. He chose the new capital city to be outside the island of Java. This wish was achieved. Penajam Paser Utara, East Kalimantan was chosen as the location of IKN.

No one doubts the existence of Jakarta as a city full of problems. Floods, traffic jams, pollution is the most common problem. The three problems are like disgrace because Jakarta is a representation of Indonesia.

Jokowi realized it. He considered Jakarta no longer worthy of status as the capital city. He also began to discuss moving the capital city. Various locations are being researched. The goal is to get the right location.

Finally, the government tried out the option outside Java Island as a new location. North Penajam Paser was elected from 2019. They then named the capital city as IKN. This condition made the government like speeding in building IKN.

The owner of the power of attorney tries to carry the concept of modern, smart, and green city. Jokowi's enthusiasm to build IKN continues. He showed his seriousness by appointing the Head and Deputy Head of the IKN Authority.

The position given by Jokowi is even at the ministerial level. Jokowi inaugurated Bambang Susantono and Dhony Rahajoe as the Head and Deputy Head of the IKN Authority on March 10, 2022. The inauguration took place at the State Palace in Jakarta.

Both are not new people in the political and business map of Indonesia. Bambang was Deputy Minister of Transportation for the 2010-2014 era. Meanwhile, Dhony himself had served as Managing Director of the President Office of Sinar Mas Land.

So the existing programs certainly don't just build physical once again. We also want to build social resilience, want to build a dynamic, habitrant society, so that once again this will become a city for all,city for all.

Jokowi's optimism continues to light up. The government is trying to ask its staff to accelerate the construction of phase I on August 2, 2022. The acceleration was carried out because Jokowi was optimistic that he would move to IKN in August 2024. Jokowi is planning to hold an Indonesia Anniversary ceremony on August 17 there as well.

This condition made the government issue many legal products that support the acceleration of IKN development. Everything so that IKN work can be built optimally. However, the most important thing is that IKN is comfortable for state officials and civil servants to live in.
