Ganjar Pranowo Becomes Charta Politica's Favorite Presidential Candidate In Today's Memory, June 14, 2022

JAKARTA Memories of today, three years ago, June 14, 2022, the survey institute, Charta Politica released the results of a poll related to the electability of their favorite presidential candidate (candidate) for the 2024 presidential election. The first position fell to the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo.

Previously, the issue around the 2024 presidential election was full of dynamics. Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has officially left the political arena. This condition made his previous opponent Prabowo Subianto began to be encouraged to move forward, followed by new faces such as Anies Baswedan and Ganjar Pranowo.

The implementation of the 2024 presidential election has been predicted to be postponed. This condition is due to the COVID-19 pandemic which is so violent in Indonesia. Supporters of President Jokowi are happy not to play. They had echoed Jokowi's three-term narrative.

A narrative that was rejected by the party carrying Jokowi himself, the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP). The rejection was carried out because three terms of power violated the constitution. All Indonesian people then rejected the same thing.

Jokowi's supporters who had insisted on their echo began to fade. As a result, the Indonesian people have really started to look at the democratic party for the 2024 presidential election. Big names as presidential candidates have sprung up. Prabowo, who in fact is a candidate for a regular presidential candidate, reappeared.

Prabowo's presence was also followed by the emergence of new names from the political contestation of the presidential election. They include Anies Baswedan, Ganjar Pranowo, Ridwan Kamil, to Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono. However, the strongest ones moving to seek support were Prabowo.

Prabowo, who in fact is the Minister of Defense, often visits various regions. He met many community leaders to local scholars. Some of them also prayed for Prabowo to win and become the new President of Indonesia.

Prabowo is indeed a famous presidential candidate. However, that does not mean that he is the most favorite presidential candidate for the 2024 presidential election. This narrative is evidenced by the results of a new opinion poll issued by the survey institute, Charta Politica on June 14, 2022.

The results of the opinion trace revealed that Ganjar Pranowo was the favorite presidential candidate with 31.2 percent of the votes. Prabowo was even in second place with 23.4 percent of the votes, followed by Anies Baswedan in third place with 20 percent of the votes.

The poll was taken from the period from May 25 to June 2, 2022. Those involved in the opinion track reached 1,200 people. The respondents are those aged 17 years and over, or have met the requirements to participate in the election.

"Judging from the trend side, Ganjar Pranowo has experienced an increase in electability, while Prabowo Subianto and Anies Baswedan's electability tends to stagnate," wrote Charta Politica in a statement as quoted by the quarternews page, June 14, 2022.
