Four Facts About Kep1er, K-pop Group Winner Of Girls Planet 999

JAKARTA - The competition program Girls Planet 999 ended its broadcast by announcing nine participants who would debut in a group.

Friday, October 22, Mnet stated that the winning group would be named Kep1er. Although the name sounds unique, it is not yet known why Mnet named the group that way.

For those of you who are potential Kep1er fans, let's take a look at four facts about this project group formed by Mnet!

Nine members

The Kep1er group will contain nine members consisting of six South Korean members, two Japanese members, and one Chinese member.

Kim Chae Hyun, who led the direct voting, was ranked first and will debut on Kep1er. Then there are Huening Bahiyyih, Choi Yu Jin, Kim Da Eon, Seo Young Eun, Kang Ye Seo, Ezaki Hikaru, Sakamoto Mashiro, and Shen Xiao Ting.

The Kep1er group will be managed by Swing Entertainment, which previously managed IZ*ONE, Wanna One and IOI

Previously, Swing Entertainment had managed the ACE group and produced various solos, including Kim Jae Hwan and Natty.

Every member of Girls Planet 999 has an interesting story about their career, and those who have come from well-known agencies are no exception.

Kim Chae Hyun, the first rank of Girls Planet 999 is known to be a former trainee from SM Entertainment. He had training and almost debuted with AESPA.

Controversy

Along with Kep1er's announcement, many netizens were annoyed with Girls Planet 999's final ranking. One of them was that out of all the participants, only two Japanese trainees and one Chinese trainee managed to debut.

Kawaguchi Yurina, a trainee from Japan failed to enter the top nine rankings and this irritated netizens. Until now, the names of Yurina and Girls Planet 999 are in line with the disappointment of the audience.
