According to the quarantine regulations written in the Addendum to Circular Letter Number 8 of 2021, Circular Letter of the COVID-19 Task Force Number 18 of 2021 and SK Ka. COVID-19 Task Force Number 11 of 2021, every arrival from abroad or international travellers are required to undergo quarantine for 8 x 24 hours or 14 x 24 hours depending on the escalation of positive cases of COVID-19 in the country of origin, after previously being tested for RT-PCR when arrived in Indonesia.

After 7 days of quarantine from the date of arrival for Indonesian citizens, a re-examination is carried out. If the RT-PCR result is negative, then only after the quarantine period of 8 x 24 hours or 14 x 24 hours is the quarantine declared complete.

Rachel Vennya and Salim Nauderer could be subject to Article 93 of Law Number 6 of 2018 concerning Health Quarantine. Because they only run quarantine for 3 days. For those who violate the threat is a criminal sentence of 1 year in prison or a maximum fine of Rp. 100 million.
