Reunion In The Korean Drama Jirisan, Ju Ji Hoon Admits Admiration For Jun Ji Hyun

JAKARTA - Korean drama Jirisan is ready to air on October 23. This drama stars Gianna Jun, Ju Ji-hoon, Oh Jung-se, and Cho han-chul. Jirisan tells the story of the forest rangers of Mount Jiri who are tasked with saving the lives of people lost in Mount Jiri National Park.

Played by Gianna Jun (or better known as Jun Ji-hyun) as an experienced forest ranger and Ju Ji-hoon as an amateur forest ranger who has many dark secrets. He must face hurricanes, fires, floods, and many other dangers while doing their job of finding and rescuing stray mountaineers.

Not only filled with mystery and suspense, the touching stories in this drama are also worth waiting for the audience. In Jirisan, Gianna Jun and Ju Ji-hoon compete acting as seniors and juniors. The amount of time they spend together strengthens their chemistry.

“I've been a fan of Jun Ji Hyun since I was young. His charisma really impressed me, he has also become a role model for me. In our collaboration, he always tries to help me. So I'm very grateful to him," Ju Ji Hoon during the virtual press release, Wednesday, October 13.

Ju Ji-hoon plays a rookie ranger, Kang Hyun-jo, who brings an element of mystery to this drama. Ji-hoon gives his opinion on his character and reveals how he brought Kang Hyun-jo to life. Before starting production, Ju Ji-hoon will discuss with writer Kim Eun-hee to hear an analysis of his role.

Ju Ji-hoon also revealed that he liked climbing from a young age and expressed enthusiasm for climbing Mount Jiri in the future. Ju Ji-hoon shared that he needed a lot of energy to film this drama, especially when climbing the peak and his feet had to be still.

The shooting process for Jirisan drama is about 3-4 times more demanding than shooting on flat ground. "That's why I run to stay in shape," said Joo Ji-hoon jokingly.
