Pixar Fantasy Emotional Story In Onward

JAKARTA - After the success of Toy Story 4, Pixar returns with its newest work, Onward. The first trailer that aired last October is now equipped with the presence of a second trailer. In fact, an official poster was also released.

Through this second trailer, the audience gets a better picture of the story Onward will present. Among them, the main character Ian Lightfoot reveals his desire to meet his dead father.

Onward was inspired by the story of the film's director, Dan Scanlon, which was related to the Scanlon family relationship with his father. The Cars director was inspired after hearing clips of his father's voice.

Onward also reunites with Scanlon and producer Kori Rae after the two work together for Monsters University. Seeing the great collaboration of the two, Onward clearly offers an emotional family story that everyone can feel. It can be seen from the scenes and dialogue in the trailer that look sad and sad.

This film tells the story of Ian Lightfoot (Tom Holland) who misses his father's existence. Together with his brother, Barley Lightfoot (Chris Pratt), the two fairies go on an adventure looking for a miracle in order to meet their father. They want to spend a day together, to remember the memories with their father who left them when they were young.

Apart from the emotional story, a new fantasy world from Pixar is ready to be shown for the audience. Apart from Tom Holland and Chris Pratt, this film also features the voices of Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Octavia Spencer, Ali Wong, Lena Waithe, and Mel Rodriguez who are well known in their fields.

Onward was first introduced at the annual Disney D23 Expo. This film will air simultaneously in theaters on March 6, 2020 and will be Pixar's first project next year. Furthermore, in June, they will release Soul.
