No Air Kissing At The Dolce & Gabbana Fashion Show

JAKARTA - Walking on the catwalk of a fashion show always ends with an air kiss or air kissing. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, kissing water like this is not allowed.

This has become one of the protocols in the fashion show held by Dolce & Gabbana for the upcoming event. The summer that arrives is usually accompanied by the latest collections that are shown to fashion activists for the first time.

However, due to the virus, a number of clothing lines have had to postpone fashion shows. But not Dolce & Gabbana who became the first fashion show amid COVID-19.

Apart from kissing, all attendees who attended the Dolce & Gabbana fashion event had to wear masks to avoid transferring saliva splashes with guests and others.

Fashion events that always place guests in the front row will have a distance from each other. "We want to send a positive message, be born anew - allow it to start again, respect security protocols," said Dolce & Gabbana's representative.

The fashion show was held according to the easing of the lockdown by European governments. The Dolce & Gabbana fashion show for spring / summer 2021 will be held in Rozzano and attended by 200 people.

This event also supports COVID-19 research. Reportedly the sponsors have donated some money and guests are also expected to participate.

The fashion show is expected to return to displaying its newest collection starting next September through physical events such as Dolce & Gabbana.
