JAKARTA - Cinta Laura said that she wanted to use her love for the world of cinema as a way to educate young people and empower women in Indonesia. Therefore, in February 2021, Cinta Laura launched a YouTube channel called PUELLA ID, taken from Latin which means strong, confident, and smart woman.

Through the PUELLA ID channel, Cinta Laura admitted that she wanted to create an entertainment platform specifically for Z and Alpha generations. "Because they are the ones who in the next ten years will lead various industries. So we have to make them good future leaders," said Cinta Laura in the Webinar Series of the Indonesian Film Journalists Festival (FFWI) entitled "The Role and Position of Women in Indonesian Film" , Tuesday, September 21.

In the YouTube channel, Cinta Laura created a talk show called "Talk of Love" to discuss social issues that are considered taboo in Indonesia, such as gender identity, violence, depression, to a broken home.

"As people who have a strong role in this industry, we must contribute to helping future generations to have strong, innovative, and creative thoughts," said Cinta Laura.

"I also want to help educate friends out there who are not as lucky as us because of their economic status that makes them unable to go to school online to the fullest or their parents are too busy to guide them to study," he added.

Besides aiming to open the minds of young people, Cinta Laura said that what she was doing was also expected to be a step in empowering women.

"So that women know that they have a voice and are not afraid to express themselves according to what they want, of course as long as it doesn't have a negative impact on others," concluded Cinta Laura.
