Kaesang Pangarep Shows His Income Exceeding President Jokowi And Solo Mayor, Gibran Rakabuming

JAKARTA - The election of Joko Widodo as president has had a major impact on the income of his youngest son, Kaesang Pangarep. The Presidential Decree is prohibited from doing business, allowing Kaesang to inherit his position after Gibram Rakabuming became Mayor of Solo.

Kaesang admitted that the income earned as an entrepreneur is much greater than his father's salary as President. "Your salary is also small. I told you my account, 'you don't have any money', I actually said that," said Kaesang on the Deddy Corbuzier podcast.

"The president can't (the business) keep running (the furniture business). It used to be passed on to Mas Gibran, Mas Gibran to me now. So I'm in charge now. You don't own it, you don't own it, it's not allowed by law, " he added.

Kaesang, jokingly, supported Gibran to enter politics which made Deddy Corbuzier laugh after hearing this. "Honestly, yes, I agree (Gibran to politics). Because with him entering politics, the company must automatically be moved, right," said Kaesang.

"His name is a pious child, right. Helping the family business for his own benefit. Profit for me. Yes, yes, I'm the one doing it, lucky for me," added Kaesang.

Kaesang Pangarep talked about his brother's salary when he was mayor of Solo. "Mas Gibran, I know what the mayor's salary is, I'm sorry. It's already that much salary, I got COVID-19 again yesterday, after that I have to be responsible for hundreds of thousands of residents, isn't it complicated," added Kaesang Pangarep.
