Marcell Releases Old School Love Ending Song

JAKARTA - Marcell released his second song in 2021, titled End of Love. End of Love is a song by singer and songwriter Lianto Lee, who also happens to be Marcell's friend. Marcell was interested in performing this song because of the old school feel of the song.

"I was challenged to bring the song Akhir Cinta because this song has a strong 'oldschool' feel, representing the times when I was in close contact with music," Marcell told VOI, Tuesday, September 21.

Marcell remade this song with Rishanda Singgih, a name that is indeed familiar in Marcell's own music world. They've done many music projects together over the past few years. Even Rishanda has also taken part in arranging Marcell's concerts in recent years.

Rishanda also admitted that the song End of Love was good and that it was in accordance with the arrangement that he and Marcell wanted for Marcell's songs or albums in the future. "Rishanda Singgih once again gave his best 'life' through arrangements that matched the 90s theme that he wanted to display so that he could deliver the message of this song to listeners' ears well," said Marcell.

The song, which was originally arranged in a pop ballad, was re-arranged into a song with a strong 90s feel and a city pop aura. The lyrics with the theme of the journey of love are also easy to digest and easily accepted by the ears of music listeners in Indonesia in particular.

Akhir Cinta was released to coincide with Marcell's birthday, which is on September 21, 2021. During its pre-release period, the song Akhir Cinta was used by more than 800 TikTok videos within two days. Marcell also issued a popcorn duet challenge on his TikTok to be able to interact with his fans there.

End of Love will be released on September 21, 2021 on all existing digital streaming platforms. While the video clip will be released on September 28, 2021 on Marcell Siahaan's YouTube channel.
