JAKARTA - Long awaited, the film Don't Look Up will soon be released this year. Last Wednesday, September 8, Netflix launched its first one-minute teaser.
Looks short, but this teaser features a line of famous actors and actresses. Not to mention Don't Look Up is directed by an Academy Awards winner, Adam McKay.
Don't Look Up tells the story of astronomy student Kate Dibiasky (Jennifer Lawrence) and her professor, Dr. Randall Mindy (Leonardo DiCaprio) is trying to make an announcement that a comet will collide with Earth.
However, no one seems to believe this statement. Kate and Randall decide to find a way to talk to President Orlean (Meryl Streep) and his Chief of Staff Jason (Jonah Hill) who also seem unconcerned.
“You know how many “world will end” meetings we had?” asked Orlean.
“Hunger, drought, ozone hole, so boring,” Jason interjected to Kate and Randall.
Kate and Randall also meet the morning broadcast hosted by Brie (Cate Blanchett) and Jack (Tyler Perry). Will their efforts bear fruit?
In addition, there are several other stars who are ready to enliven Don't Look Up, namely Mark Rylance, Ron Perlman, Timothée Chalamet, Ariana Grande, Scott Mescudi (aka Kid Cudi), Himesh Patel, Melanie Lynskey, Michael Chiklis, and Tomer Sisley.
The black comedy can be seen via Don't Look Up on December 24 on Netflix. Watch the Don't Look Up teaser here:
