Former GN'R Guitarist Releases Single Song The Gospel Truth

JAKARTA - Former guitarist for the rock band Guns N 'Roses, Gilby Clarke has launched a new single, entitled The Gospel Truth. This is the second single from the upcoming album of the same name.

Launching its official press release, The Gospel Truth is about the concept of truth today. The truth is no matter what someone says out loud, there is nothing responsible and confusing.

Reflecting on parenting in the Catholic church, Gilby Clarke touches on the idea that honesty should not come from fear, and encourages listeners to be bold, say what we mean, and mean what we say.

The album itself will be released later this year through Golden Robot Records. These recordings were produced and written by Gilby Clarke at his Los Angeles recording studio, Redrum Recording, where he also made records for artists such as LA Guns, The Bronx, Beat Angels, Bullets And Octane and many more.

The album was mixed by Grammy Award winner Chris Lord-Alge and mastered by Maor Appelbaum. Joining Gilby Clarke on this album include Muddy Stardust on bass, Kenny Aronoff (John Mellencamp, John Fogerty, Chickenfoot) on drums, along with Matt Starr (Ace Frehley, Mr. Big) and Chad Stewart (Faster Pussycat, LA Guns) on backing vocals.

In an interview quoted from Blabbermouth, Gilby Clarke revealed about the content of the album The Gospel Truth.

"I don't think it's very different at all (with the previous album). I've found music that I like as an artist and a musician. It's very important that I get better at it and try new things, but I like rock. and roll, and hard guitars are good for the soul, "explains Gilby Clarke.

The former Kill For Thrills vocalist / guitarist also discussed his songwriting process, saying: "I always start with the guitar riff, then add a loud drum beat. It's great when you can add catchy lyrics too. I always try to find new ways to do it. say something simply. I don't like to complicate my lyrics, but I've never duplicated them either. "

At last year's NAMM event in Anaheim, California, Gilby Clarke told of the delay in working on his solo album: "For me, I can't make a record unless I'm comfortable with the songs. I want to make a record I want to listen to, So, I So excited about these songs, it's new songs, really classic rock, absolutely nothing new in it - it's just a new version of what I like to do, one with really loud guitars, man. I got in there. I used people like Kenny Aronoff on drums, Steve Perkins - some great players. I played all the guitar and did all the vocals. But I thought it was great - I thought it was a great new approach to classical rock, really."

Last April, Gilby Clarke released the official music video for his previous single, Rock N Roll Is Getting Louder. Clips directed by Christopher C. Pearson were shot in Palmdale, California and downtown Los Angeles, while footage of the band's performance was shot at Hollywood club Oh My Ribs!

Gilby Clarke's live band members EJ Curse (Silent Rage, White Lion) and drummer Jimmy D'Anda (Bulletboys, George Lynch) both appear in the video, along with brief appearances from Slim Jim Phantom (Stray Cats), Taime Downe (Faster) Pussycat), Jimmy Herald (Hillbilly Herald) and Teddy "Zig Zag" Andreadis (Guns N 'Roses, Carole Raja, Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Alice Cooper).
