JAKARTA - K-pop group Red Velvet ended their hiatus by releasing their sixth mini album titled Queendom on Monday, August 16. Red Velvet once again brought a positive message to listeners through the title track of the same name.

Queendom was composed by minGtion, Anne Judith Stokke Wik, Moa “Cazzi Opeia” Carlebecker, and Ellen Berg.

The lyrics written by Jo Yoon Kyung contain the message that everyone is the king and queen in their life.

The music video released on the same day shows a little story where the five members of Red Velvet joined in one place.

There is a sound of maturity in the group's vocals so that according to the lyrics of the song, Red Velvet members can master the solo part and harmonize the group.

Besides Queendom, Red Velvet also released five other songs with varied genres, namely Pose, Knock On Wood, Better Be, Pushin' N Pullin', and Hello, Sunset.

Queendom is their latest release after one year and eight months. They last released the album The ReVe Festival: Finale in December 2019.

Queendom's release in the second half of 2021 is not without reason. They celebrated their 7th year debut and welcomed Wendy's return with group activities.

"This is a comeback after a long time, so we are as excited and enthusiastic as we debuted. We prepared six songs so that we hope you can enjoy them comfortably in the summer and the good energy can be shared with many people," the group quoted SportsDongA as saying.

Not a day before it was released, Queendom's music video has been watched by more than 10 million. The Queendom mini album can be heard both physically and digitally.
