JAKARTA - Mahir & The Alligators released a single titled Rock N' Roll Abiiss!!! some time ago. This song was written and arranged by the band's guitarist and mastermind, Antonius Mahir Mayanto.

Rock N' Roll Abiiss!!! tells the story of a child who rebels against his parents' false standards of propriety and how to educate his teacher who intimidates children and students.

Education is important, maintaining family honor is equally important. However, Antonius Mahir revealed that giving children/students space to develop and be creative into what they want is much more important.

"Every child has different fantasies, passions, ambitions and interests. Every child has the right to think, develop, succeed and be happy," said Antonius Mahir in an official statement received by the editorial desk, Monday, August 16.

"In fact, the happiness of children is the happiness of parents and teachers who educate them. The success of children is also the success of parents and teachers who educate them," continued the musician who also works as a lawyer.

Antonius Mahir emphasized that it is time for everyone to learn from the younger generation and provide space to be creative and live according to their times.

"It's not just imposing a will with a pseudo-decency standard, a standard curriculum and past glory for a pseudo-image," he said.

Besides Antonius Mahir on guitar, Mahir & The Alligators this time featured the formation of Bripka Nuryadin Ismail (slide guitar), Steven Pasaribu (bass), Indra Fahmi Hakim (drums, percussion), Denny Tewe (vocals) and Genta Pratama (blues harp).
