JAKARTA - Actor Kit Harington admits the Game of Thrones series has brought many changes in his life, including his mental health condition.
As the main character, Harington admits that the end of the series in 2019 left him with poor health.
In this week's The Jess Cagle Show on Sirius XM, Kit Harington said, "I had a mental health problem after (Game of) Thrones," he said.
"Honestly, I think it has something to do with the series and what I've been doing over the years," said Harington, who turned to professionals. Playing Jon Snow, he participated with the Game of Thrones series from 2011 to 2019.
For a year, Kit Harington took a short break from the entertainment industry before finally returning with an episode of the anthology series Modern Love.
"You can't predict a pandemic, so when I wanted to get back to work, it hit," said husband Rose Leslie.
Modern Love is an anthology series that tells various love stories adapted from the weekly column of The New York Times. Kit Harington joins in the second part with Gbenga Akinnagbe, Susan Blackwell, Lucy Boynton and others.
“Joining an episode of Modern Love is like, you don't have to be in an intense place all the time. Why not let go of the heavy load? Why not choose something fun?”
In addition to Modern Love, which airs on August 13, Harington is also scheduled to appear in Marvel's The Eternals, which will be released in November.
