JAKARTA - Ryan Reynolds' character Deadpool has officially joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Through his Instagram account on Wednesday, July 14, the figure of Deadpool was seen sitting with the character Korg, played by Taika Waititi.

They made a reaction video for the Waititi-directed Free Guy trailer that will premiere in August. “I thought this film would be released... last year, Free Guy. It seems that this film will only be released in August," said Deadpool.

Korg who watched the trailer thought Taika Waititi looked good. Then their expressions are happy after seeing actress Jodie Comer in the Free Guy trailer.

This reaction video was uploaded along with the caption, “DP (Deadpool) is officially joining the MCU! He started with reaction videos and then some influencer work, appearances to the after-credits lineup until 2030.”

Deadpool is also heard sarcastically throughout the video because he's the only one who doesn't have his own series on Disney+. The Free Guy trailer ends with the caption, “Not Streaming August 13th.”

Deadpool's joining the MCU was confirmed by Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige in January. He explained that Deadpool 3 is in the process of writing a script and has not yet started filming.

Moments after this news broke, Reynolds uploaded a news snippet with the photo caption reading, “First task: Find the man who killed Bambi's mother. #Deadpool3,"
