Judge Rejects Britney Spears' Request To Remove Father From Conservatory

JAKARTA - After speaking for the first time about her case, the judge rejected Britney Spears' request to remove her father, Jamie Spears as her conservator.

Wednesday, June 30, United States time, the Los Angeles Superior Court provided documents containing the statement. "The request to suspend James P. Spears following the appointment of the Bessemer Trust of California as sole conservator was rejected," the document reads as reported by Variety.

Previously, Britney Spears' lawyer, Samuel Ingham III, had asked for Jamie's release since November 2020. Ingham said his client was afraid and didn't want to appear if his father was still his conservator.

Conservatory is a situation where a person is appointed as the legal guardian to be responsible for the property and life of the person being represented.

Last week, Britney Spears spoke about her 13-year conservatory. He felt compelled to perform, taking drugs until his privacy was managed.

“Lithium (drug) is very, very strong and different from what I'm taking. You can have a mental breakdown if you consume too much, for five months," Britney said at a hearing on June 23.

The Toxic singer also stated that the conservatory process was far more detrimental than beneficial.

“I deserve to have a life. I worked all my life. I feel bullied, I feel bullied, I feel abandoned and alone. I'm tired of feeling alone. I deserve to have the same rights as anyone else," said Britney Spears ending the conversation.
