JAKARTA - The name Fuad Alkhar may not be so famous in the entertainment world in the country. However, if you mention Wan Abud's name, of course the 90s generation will immediately recognize him.

Wan Abud is an actor who is known for his familiar face. The name Wan Abud was originally known as an antagonist as well as funny and iconic, played by Fuad Alkhar in the soap opera Princess Mermaid, which began airing from 1999 to 2004.

Together with Ayu Azhari, Fuad, who at that time played the character of Wan Abud, appeared very classy and his favorite Arabic sentence, 'ente bahlul', was quickly understood and entered the audience's head at that time.

His career started when he starred in the film Miss Sweet in 1990. Usually, Wan Abud plays in horror and comedy films. Wan Abud has starred in the film Warkop DKI several times with Dono, Kasino and Indro. Most recently, he starred in the film Harim in the Haram in 2015.

Until 2017, Wan Abud was still actively playing the soap opera Jodoh Pengantar Jenazah. The man who was born in Jakarta, January 10, 1959, has also sung and performed a duet with the legendary swordsman Cucu Cahyati. Both of them sang again to the audience which broke the atmosphere.

Friday, June 18, Wan Abud died at the age of 62. Currently, Wan Abud's body is still at the funeral home, Jl Baiturahim 1 RT 05/01, East Beji, Depok.
