JAKARTA - Sharpening children's creativity from an early age is one of the important aspects in supporting their optimal growth and development. Creativity is not only related to the ability to produce works of art, but there are many benefits that can be felt by the little one.

Starting from helping children learn to solve problems, imagine, express ideas, and build confidence. Therefore, children need to get a safe and fun space to explore their interests and talents through various creative activities.

One form of support for the development of children's creativity is through the Koko Crunch Creative Club 2026 program, an event that invites Indonesian children to channel their imagination and ability to express themselves through drawing and coloring activities.

Carrying the theme "Together, Let's Create the Color of Indonesia's Future", this program is designed to provide a fun learning experience while encouraging children to be more confident in pouring their ideas.

After reaching more than 12,000 children throughout 2024 to 2025, this program is back with a target of involving more than 16,000 elementary school students. This activity is held through a series of roadshows at 13 sports courts and seven shopping centers in various cities, starting from May to October 2026. Jakarta became the first city to start the series of activities on May 24, 2026 at the PKP Jakarta Islamic School GOR.

"We want to invite more Indonesian families and children to enjoy creative activities together in a fun and energetic atmosphere. We believe that creativity, self-confidence, and good habits built early on can be an important resource for children to grow into an active, creative, and enthusiastic future generation," said Sherif Hani, Country Business Manager Coffee & Cereal Partners Worldwide (CPW) PT Nestlé Indonesia.

This program is based on the belief that every child has the potential to develop when they receive the right support, both through a healthy lifestyle and the opportunity to explore and create.

Various creative activities are believed to help children develop imagination, thinking skills, social skills, and the courage to express themselves.

This spirit is also in line with various government efforts to support the fulfillment of children's rights, including the right to obtain quality education, a safe environment, and a positive space for expression.

Drawing and coloring activities are considered to be an effective means for children to fill their free time with activities that are both useful and fun.

At the launch event of the program in Jakarta, the Minister of Empowerment of Women and Child Protection of the Republic of Indonesia, Arifatul Choiri Fauzi, appreciated the presence of activities that provide space for children to develop creativity from an early age.

"Activities such as drawing and coloring can be a medium for children to learn to express themselves, increase self-confidence, and build positive interactions with the surrounding environment," explained Arifatul.

In addition to encouraging creativity, this program also supports the formation of positive habits in children, including healthy lifestyles and a spirit of learning. This is in line with the 7 Habits of Indonesian Children's Great Program initiated by the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education.

Minhajul Ngabidin, S.Pd., M.Si., Widyaprada Assistant Expert of the Education Development Team of the Directorate of Elementary and Secondary Education, assessed that activities like this are not only a competition, but also a space for children to actualize themselves.

"Creative activities can help children develop social, emotional, and intellectual abilities more evenly so that they support their holistic growth and development," explained Minhajul.

On the other hand, a good morning routine is also an important part of supporting children's readiness to carry out daily activities. A nutritious breakfast can help meet energy needs and increase concentration while studying.

If so, combined with fun and stimulating activities, children can start the day more enthusiastic and productive.

The 2026 Creative Club series of activities will last for six months and visit various cities in Indonesia, including Jakarta, Bogor, Tangerang, Bekasi, Bandung, Semarang, Solo, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Malang, Medan, Pekanbaru, and Denpasar.

The competition is divided into two categories, namely coloring competition for students in grades 1-3 of elementary schools and drawing and coloring competition for students in grades 4-6 of elementary schools. The division of categories is adjusted to the stage of development and ability to explore children's creativity.
