Talk about assets, Sarwendah's party said Ruben Onsu 'running' when asked to pay off bank debt

JAKARTA - The post-divorce feud between Ruben Onsu and Sarwendah has entered a new phase that is getting hotter. The main focus is now on the division of property which is claimed that it was previously agreed upon together.

Sarwendah's lawyer, Abraham Simon, revealed the fact that the assets handed over to his client were still burdened with large bank debts.

"There are four property assets, two assets that belong to our client, the documents are not clean. In the sense that the certificate is still in the bank, still pledged. In fact, there is a debt from the company owned by RO who pledged the house given to Sarwendah," said Abraham Simon in a press conference in Jakarta, Sunday, May 31.

Simon added that Ruben was suspected of not fulfilling his promise to continue the installment of the house until it was paid off. He claimed to have proof of a warning letter from the bank due to the arrears that had occurred since the middle of last year.

"We hold letters from banks. Starting from the first to the third warning, and all of this has not been paid since June 2024. Even before the deed was signed, it was agreed that the RO who wanted to pay in installments until it was paid off as a former husband who was responsible," he explained.

In response to this, Ruben Onsu's lawyer, Minola Sebayang, gave a shocking answer. He said the selection of the assets was entirely the desire of the Sarwendah party itself and from the beginning they already knew the legal status of the property.

"If you don't want to be burdened with obligations, just toss-toss. Why does he want to ask for what belongs to Ruben Onsu? It is suspected because of its value. That is a new house that was built in Cilandak. Why don't you say, 'Ruben, you continue, I'm just safe and secure'," replied Minola Sebayang.

Minola also denied claims that Sarwendah only had one asset. He read the contents of the deed detailing the list of wealth that is now fully owned by the former Cherrybelle member.

"It is stated in article 2, the property that was handed over entirely to S is 880 meters of land in West Cilandak, 307 meters of land in Bintaro, and five units of luxury cars ranging from Mercedes-Benz to BMW. So it denies that it is said to be only one house," said Minola.

Ruben's party considers it reasonable that they ask for the asset letters that are Ruben's right, but they feel it is complicated. Minola questioned why the division of this property was complicated even though it was legally regulated before a notary.

"Isn't it funny that S questions the property that he knows very well is not a property of this or that? In the deed it is written that the full ownership is immediately at the time the agreement is signed. We ask, it is said that it is not careful," he said sarcastically.

On the other hand, Chris Sam Siwu as a colleague of Sarwendah's lawyer gave a stern warning. He said his client could have uncovered greater secrets if he had been constantly pressured regarding the asset problem.

"Don't let Wendah be silent as if she doesn't have the strength, but if she is constantly pressured she will talk. Even the real reason for the divorce has not been conveyed. We keep it because we think about the child's psychology, but there is a limit to patience," said Chris Sam Siwu.
