JAKARTA - Even though the development of actor Kim Soo Hyun's case is progressing, it seems that fans have to wait for the release of his latest drama, Knock Off. The release of this drama has been postponed since last year and until now it has not found a bright spot.

YouTuber Kim Se Ui was recently reported to have been arrested by the police for allegedly making rumors about Kim Soo Hyun who was said to have a relationship with the late Kim Sae Ron. The authorities said the rumor was made with artificial intelligence (AI) technology.

The controversy continues to change with the statements from the actor's side that continue to change as well after Kim Se Ui was arrested by the police.

Disney+ is said to have no plans to release the Knock-Off series starring Kim Soo Hyun and Jo Bo Ah.

Citing Xportsnews, the Knock Off series is still postponed until an unspecified time. In fact, the production of the second season had been running before the controversy emerged.

Previously, Disney+ also denied when the news of the Knock Off series would be released in the first half of 2026. The Knock-Off series with a production cost of 60 billion Won and is touted as the largest production in the Disney series.

"The report regarding us preparing a schedule for the Knock-Off series for release this year is not true. There is no update regarding our previous statement," said Disney+.

Knock-Off tells the story of an employee who loses his job. He then takes care of the sale of counterfeit goods which is the beginning of his success. On the other hand, a woman who works in the police department, is looking for a case of counterfeit goods related to her ex-boyfriend.

In addition to Kim Soo Hyun, the series is also played by Jo Bo Ah, Yoo Jae Myung, Choi Gyu Ri, Bang Hyo Rin, Kim Hye Eun, and others.

With the arrest of Kim Se Ui, the public began to question whether Kim Soo Hyun could return to the entertainment world. However, Disney+'s current move is to choose to hold the confirmed Knock-Off series to continue to the second season.
