JAKARTA - The series "Off Campus" became the third most watched romance series in Prime Video history. Variety reported that Amazon said the series reached 36 million viewers in 12 days of release.

The streaming service did not publicly explain what counted as an audience. However, the series managed to overtake "The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power" and "Fallout."

In addition, the series "Off Campus" debuted as the most watched series for the category of female viewers aged 18-34 years old, surpassing the series "The Summer I Turned Pretty".

Off Campus is adapted from the Elle Kennedy book series created by Louisa Levy. The series stars Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli.

"We are so happy to see the passion that was put into the first season created by Louisa Levy and Gina Fattore. When you get the trust and give it to the audience, they will come and they did it for Off Campus," said the streaming service.

Off Campus tells the story of a student and hockey athlete who is involved in a fake relationship with a music student. Their fake relationship begins to turn real when the two of them like each other.

The other series stars Mika Abdalla, Antonio Cipriano, Josh Heuston, Stephen Kalyn, and Jalen Thomas Brooks. Louisa Levy adapted the book and became the creator and executive producer.

A day after the Off Campus series on May 13, its first season immediately reached the first position on Prime Video as a streaming platform. In addition to the series, the soundtrack for the series has increased the number of listeners on digital music services.
