JAKARTA - The production house Palari Films shared a little of their latest film, December Jani. This film directed by Ariani Darmawan is one of two films planned to be released this year.

In addition to Ariani Darmawan's debut, the film December Jani is also the debut of a script from Cyntha Hariadi. This film also presents several new main actors, namely Hyori Mika and Chempa Puteri.

"Something that I personally think I have never worked with this many female colleagues at Palari. Literally the director, writer, cast and everything is women so this is something new for me and Palari Film," said producer Meiske Taurisia in a meal session with Jani's family in South Jakarta on Thursday, May 21.

The film December Jani tells the story of Jani (Chempa Puteri) who saw an argument between Julia (Hyori Mika) and her mother, Winnie (Sigi Wimala) the night before Julia ran away from home. Jani keeps her anger and tries to stay at home with Oma (Tutie Kirana).

Without his family's knowledge, Jani always replies to Julia's messages until a conflict is revealed and Jani has to be open to his mother and grandmother.

"I got married, I had a child and when I had the opportunity to make a feature film, what was definitely in my mind was the one close to me. How to be a mother, there are parents who still need to be given attention and how to be a mother," said director Ariani Darmawan.

"I've never written a script, fortunately I like watching movies. From me, the second technical challenge is learning to collaborate because from the story I'm a screenwriter and we write together because my story is about mother and child," said writer Cyntha Hariadi.

The film December Jani was first announced in the celebration of Palari Films' 10 years among several films announced. The production of this film has also been completed with plans to be screened this year.
