JAKARTA - Two young Indonesian designers, Janice and Benita Setyawan, presented their latest collections at the Maquinn Couture “Realm of Silence” Haute Couture Spring 2021 event which was held today, Monday, June 7.
Even though it was held via Zoom, the event still ran smoothly. Through a fashion film video, Maquinn Couture showcases five wedding dresses made in Indonesia and Italy.
"Previously at Milan Fashion Week, Maquinn did a lot of elaboration with batik clothes, so this time Maquinn is happy to spread her wings to wedding dresses," said Benita Setyawan.
The concept carried is elegant and baroque style. The selection of the concept took a long time, so they filmed it at the Palazzo Francesco Turati.
“The collection of dresses and the location have a match. The specialty lies in the characteristic abilities of the people who use it," he said.
The five dresses presented by Maquinn Couture have interesting stories, one of which is a dress with floral accents made using the hand stitch method.
Each model who wears a dress is tailored to the character of the outfit itself. Maquinn hopes this latest collection can exude the character of the wearer.
