YOGYAKARTA - Global rating agency Quacquarelli Symonds has again published the World University Rankings (WUR) by Subject 2026 which includes thousands of universities around the world. This ranking evaluates various disciplines, including the field of law in the Southeast Asian region. So, where are the best law schools in Southeast Asia 2026?

In the Law & Legal Studies category on QS WUR by Subject 2026, there are more than 400 universities that are assessed. Of these, as many as 91 universities from Southeast Asia managed to make it into the list.

In general, QS WUR by Subject 2026 provides an assessment based on five main indicators, including:

Academic reputation (academic reputation) Research citations per paper (research citations per paper) Employer reputation (employer reputation) H-index (H index) International research network, by broad faculty area. Singapore occupies the top level, Indonesia dominates the top 10

Based on QS WUR by Subject 2026: Law & Legal Studies, the best law school in Southeast Asia is the National University of Singapore (NUS). This campus ranks 6th in the world.

To complete the top 3 best, two other campuses in Singapore followed, namely Singapore Management University and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

In the top ten rankings, Indonesia dominates with four campuses that are ranked. The University of Indonesia (UI) occupies the best position with a rank of four.

Gadjah Mada University (UGM) ranked seventh and Airlangga University ranked eighth. Meanwhile, Padjadjaran University (Unpad) completed the top 10 best law campuses in Southeast Asia by being in the tenth position.
