Okin's Lawyer Denies Allegations of Quietly Measuring House

JAKARTA - The issue of selling a house that dragged the names of Okin and Rachel Vennya is the core of their current legal feud. Rachel's party emphasized that this legal step was taken solely for the sake of justice for their children.

Sangun Ragahdo, Rachel's lawyer, said that his client demanded the rights that should be received.

"The point is that what is being pursued from this case is my client, Rachel wants to claim rights, this right is the rights of her children, wants to seek justice," said Ragahdo in South Jakarta, Thursday, April 9.

The issue of this house is getting hotter when there is news that an unknown person came to measure the house.

"The statement from my client that it was indeed informed, only informed me that I could, it was only informed at 4 pm but it turned out that the measurement was carried out at 11 am," said Ragahdo.

This condition makes Rachel's family's comfort disturbed, considering that the house is still occupied by her younger siblings.

"That's what we see, so it makes it uncomfortable, the younger siblings are also sorry. Rachel is the backbone of the family, not only supporting her children but also her extended family," he added.

Ragahdo emphasized the burden that Rachel must bear if the house is suddenly sold.

"If it has to be moved later, Rachel will have to pay again, what is the name of the manpower to find a place to move her siblings," he explained.

In response to this, Axel Mattew, Okin's lawyer, gave a different clarification. According to him, Okin had informed Rachel of this earlier.

"So this is it, so the information from brother Niko, actually it's not measuring the house. And before those people came, it was also informed to Rachel," countered Axel Mattew.

He denied that the arrival of these people was sudden without coordination.

"So, yes, that's the statement from our client, yes, like that. So it's not that suddenly these people came to measure the house, it's not like that," he said.

Axel explained that the purpose of the visit was only to see the condition of the building.

"Yes, I just want to see the house, but not to measure all kinds of houses as conveyed by Rachel. I just want to see the house," added Axel.

In fact, Axel claimed that Rachel already knew about the plan to sell the house long before this issue was widely reported in the media.

"If Niko's statement already knows, Rachel's party, before. Before this problem came up, it already knew," concluded Axel.
